Cada vez más cerca el certamen Miss Universo 2017, en nuestra cobertura especial toca el turno de conocer a la bella representante de Israel, quien buscara llevar la segunda corona a su país, la cual fue lograda hace 40 años, conozcamos a Adar Gandelsman.
Miss Universe 2017 pageant is getting closer. In our special edition, we are going to know the beauty Israel contestant; she is Adar Gandelsman and she is trying to bring the second crown to his country which was obtained 40 years ago.
Socialiteen: Agradecemos el tiempo que brindas para esta entrevista, de igual forma felicitarte por ser la representante de tu país, para iniciar coméntanos ¿Cómo se describe Adar Gandelsman? / We appreciate you’re giving us some of your time for this interview, and at the same time we congratulate you on being your country contestant, for start can you tell us, how does Adar Gandelsman describe herself?
Adar Gandelsman: Soy un soldado, una mujer de negocios y un modelo, me considero una chica creativa y curiosa, optimista y excelente al momento de resolver un problema, soy independiente, pero también estoy orgullosa de ser parte de una familia amorosa y de apoyo.
I am a soldier, a business woman and a model. creative and curious, optimistic and an excellent problem solver. I’m independent but also proud to be a part of a strong loving and supporting family.
Socialiteen: ¿Qué es lo que motiva en la vida? / What do motivate you in your life?
Adar Gandelsman: Lo que me motiva es el éxito conmigo misma, siempre me recuerdo que soy una mujer fuerte que puede lidiar con todo lo que pueda venir en camino.
Socialiteen: ¿Quién consideras seria tu ejemplo a seguir en la vida? / Who is your life role model?
Adar Gandelsman: Mi modelo a seguir es mi padre, porque siempre pone a los demás por encima de él. Él se queda fuerte incluso cuando es vulnerable. Mi padre me ha enseñado que debes trabajar duro para llegar a donde quieres y que no hay razones para rendirte cuando las cosas se ponen un poco difíciles. En el ámbito profesional mi inspiración seria la super modelo Gisele Bündchen, siempre la he admirado porque logra equilibrar su negocio, su vida familiar y su modelaje, como espero hacer un día.
My role model is my father, because he always puts others above himself. He stay’s strong even when he is vulnerable. My father has taught me that you have to work hard to get where you want and that there are no reasons to give up when things get a little rough. Gisele Bundchen is my professional role model, I have always looked up to her because she manage to balance her business, family life, and modeling like I hope i will do one day.
Socialiteen: Podemos notar que para ti son muy importantes los valores familiares ¿Cuál consideras tu lugar favorito y por qué? / So we can notice how important is for you the family values. For our readers, it is important to know more about you, would you tell us what is your favorite place too and why?
Adar Gandelsman: Adoro a Jerusalén, tengo una conexión emocional con esa ciudad. En primer lugar, nací en Jerusalén y la ciudad siempre me hace sentir que no estoy solo, incluso si lo soy. Todos los que visitan Jerusalén se sienten así, la gente aquí no se preocupa por su religión o comunidad, todos están invitados y le dan la bienvenida, es como una gran familia.
I absolutely love Jerusalem, i have an unspoken emotional connection with that city. First of all I was born in Jerusalem and the city always makes me feel like i am not alone even if i am. Everyone who visits Jerusalem feels this way as well, the people here don’t care about your religion or community, everyone are invited and welcome her, it’s like a one big family.

Socialiteen: ¿Cuáles son los momentos que te han marcado hasta ahora? / Which moments have marked you so far?
Adar Gandelsman: El primer evento que puedo decir que me afectó y cambió mi vida fue cuando adopté a mi perro, Bobi, esto me hizo más consciente y me abrió los ojos al abuso de animales. Él trajo alegría y felicidad a mi vida como nunca antes lo había sentido.
El segundo evento que cambió mi vida fue mi participación en Miss Israel, me ayudó a aprender y descubrir cosas nuevas sobre mí misma y a enfrentar situaciones difíciles por mi cuenta. Me hizo una mujer mejor y más fuerte.
The first event I can say that affected me and changed my life was when I adopted my dog- Bobi. This made me more aware and opened my eyes to animal abuse. He brought joy and happiness into my life like I never knew before
The second event that changed my life was my participation in Miss Israel Pageant. It helped me to learn and discover new things about myself and deal with difficult situations by myself. It made me a better and stronger woman.
Socialiteen: ¿Cómo fue tu acercamiento a los certámenes de belleza? / thank you by share these moments with us. Now could you describe how your approach on beauty pageant was?
Adar Gandelsman: Quería hacer algo que me sacara de mi zona de confort y me ayudaría a mejorar mi autoestima, cuando tuve la oportunidad de participar en el concurso Miss Israel, sabía que esto era todo. Esta experiencia fue exactamente lo que estaba buscando y me ayudó a convertirme en una mujer fuerte, segura de sí misma y con poder.
I wanted to do something that would take me out of my comfort zone and will help me improve my self confidence. When I had the opportunity to participate in The Miss Israel Pageant I knew this was it. This experience was exactly what I was searching for and it helped me to grow into a strong, confident, and empowered woman.
Socialiteen: ¿Cómo te nombran Miss Israel? / How did you become Miss Universe contestant?
Adar Gandelsman: «Miss Israel» fue el primer concurso en el que probé suerte, fue la primera vez que decidí ir a un concurso de belleza y estoy muy emocionada de haber ganado este título y haber llegado tan lejos y haber tenido la oportunidad de representar a mi país en el concurso de belleza «Miss Universo».
«Miss Israel» beauty pageant was the first pageant I tried my luck in it. It was the first time that I have decided to go to a beauty pageant and I am so excited that I have won this title and got this far and was given the opportunity to represent my country in the «Miss Universe» beauty pageant.
Socialiteen: ¿Qué significa para ti ser el concursante de tu país?/ What does it mean for you to be the contestant of your country?
Adar Gandelsman: Es muy honorable e importante para mí porque Israel es muy importante, no solo crecí aquí, sino que mis padres emigraron a Israel desde Brasil, antes de que yo naciera, y me criaron para amar a mi país como ella los amaba y darles la bienvenida aquí. Por lo tanto, es muy importante para mí representar a Israel de la manera más apropiada posible.
It is very honorable and important to me because Israel is very important to me. Not only I grew up here, but my parents immigrated to Israel from Brazil, before I was born, and they raised me to love my country like she loved them and welcomed them here. Therefore it is very important for me to represent Israel in the most appropriate way possible.
Socialiteen: Después de ser nombrada Miss Israel ¿cómo ha sido tu preparación? / How have you been training to performance in the contest?
Adar Gandelsman: Desde que recibí mi título, continué mi servicio en las Fuerzas de Defensa de Israel, participé en muchas actividades voluntarias y comencé a modelar, empecé a trabajar en la forma de presentarnos a mí y a mi país de la mejor y más honorable manera. Además, tomé clases de actuación para mejorar mi autoexpresión, mis lecciones de inglés, maquillaje, modelaje, pero lo más importante fue trabajar en la preparación de mi vestuario para la competencia.
Since I received my title, I continued my service in the Israel Defense Forces, participated in many volunteer activities and started modeling. I started to work on how to present me and my country in the best and honorable way. In addition I took lessons in acting, makeup, modeling, and english, but most important I was working on preparing my wardrobe to the competition.
I am taking acting lessons in order to improve my self-express, cat walking lessons and English lessons. I believe you can always learn more and get better.
Socialiteen: ¿Cómo valoras la belleza de la mujer en la sociedad? / How do you value women´s beauty?
Adar Gandelsman: Creo que para valorar la belleza de una mujer, uno necesita mirar más allá de su aspecto externo, creo que la apariencia externa de una persona se ve afectada por su belleza interior, cuando una persona es bella desde el interior y se siente segura de que la belleza externa se ve afectada. Una hermosa mujer en el interior es hermosa desde el exterior.
I think that in order to value a woman’s beauty, one needs look beyond her external look. I believe that the external look of a person is effected by its inner beauty. When a person is beautiful from the inside and feel confident the external beauty is effected. A beautiful woman on the inside is gorgeous from the outside.
Socialiteen: ¿Qué esperas de Miss Universo? / What do you expect from Miss Universe?
Adar Gandelsman: Espero que Miss Universo sea una experiencia dura pero agradable, y espero que después de que termine pueda mantenerme en contacto con alguna de las concursantes a pesar de la distancia. Todos estamos aquí a la misma edad, con el mismo propósito: hacer todo lo posible y hacer que nuestro país se sienta orgulloso, estoy tan emocionada.
I expect Miss Universe to be hard but enjoyable experience, and i hope that after it will end i will be able to stay in touch with some of the contestants, although the distance. We are all here at the same age with the same purpose- to do our best and make our country’s proud, im so excited.
Socialiteen: ¿Qué harías si te nombraran Miss Universo? / What would you do if you were named Miss Universe 2017?
Adar Gandelsman: En primer lugar, seré la persona más feliz y viva, ganar un título así, decir algo más que solo el hecho de que eres hermosa, es saber que tienes algo más que ofrecerle al mundo. Concentraré todo mi tiempo y poder para usar este título para hacer del mundo un lugar mejor en todas las formas posibles.
First of all I will be the happiest person alive, to win such a title say something more than just the fact that you are beautiful, it’s to know that you have something more to offer the world. I will concentrate all my time and power to use this title to make the world a better place in every way i could.
Socialiteen: ¿Qué planes tienes después de participar en Miss Universo 2017? / What plans do you have after participating in Miss Universe 2017?
Adar Gandelsman: Si llegara a ganar, usaré esta experiencia para crecer y continuar desarrollando mi carrera en el modelaje y mi negocio en Israel y en el extranjero.
If I won’t win, I will use this experience to grow and continue to develope my career in modeling and my business in Israel and abroad.
Socialiteen: ¿Qué recomendarías a las mujeres que desean participar en certámenes de belleza o modelaje? / What would you recommend to young women who wish to participate in beauty pageant or modeling?
Adar Gandelsman: Antes que nada les aconsejaré que sean ellas mismas sin importar lo que tengan enfrente, no necesitas cambiar porque piensas que eso es lo que otras personas quieren de ti, asegúrese y confíe en sus objetivos y listo para tomar este mundo por sorpresa. Este mundo ofrece una experiencia increíble, aunque puede ser un desafío a veces. Sé orgulloso, sé fuerte y sé quién eres.
First of all I will advise them to be themselves no matter what’s in front of them. you dont need to change because you think that’s what other people want from you. Be sure and confident in your goals and ready to take this world by storm. This world offers an amazing experience although it can be challenging sometimes. Be proud, be strong and be who you are.
Socialiteen: ¿Cuál es su visión para el futuro en su vida? / What is your vision for the future in your life?
Adar Gandelsman: Primero, me gustaría seguir creciendo en el mundo del modelaje, lo amo y lo disfruto mucho. Pero también quiero estudiar diseño, incluso tengo mi primer proyecto en mi cabeza, será diseñar y construir un centro de rehabilitación para animales. Un centro que ofrecerá servicios veterinarios, de capacitación, de criadero y de aseo y estará abierto al público, un tema que está muy cerca de mi corazón.
First, I would like to continue growing in the modeling world, I love and enjoy it a lot. But I also want to study design, I already even have my first project in my head, it will be to design and build a rehabilitation center for animals. A center that will offer veterinary, training, kennel and grooming services and will be open to the public – a subject that is very close to my heart.

Adar Gandelsman: Me gustaría dar las gracias por todo el apoyo que recibo de todo el mundo, esto es realmente increíble, ¡así que gracias! Y, además, quiero enviar un mensaje de que cualquier persona que haya soñado o esté persiguiendo un objetivo, ¡puede hacerlo! I would like to say thanks for all the support I receive from all around the world, this is really amazing, so thank you!
